Why Social Media Matters
You may be wondering: “Why should I market my business on Social media?”
Here are 3 reasons why (if it doesn't already) your business should have a social media presence in 2020.
1. It’s where people are.
Over 70% of the United States population is on social media. In 2019, that amounted to 246 million users. Insane, right?
Facebook is currently the most popular platform based on it’s monthly active users.
If you’re reading this, you likely have a personal Facebook page. But does your business?
Facebook isn’t just for your grandma to comment on your christmas photos.
Facebook is a powerhouse for businesses. With a powerful advertising platform, easy to use interface, and insightful analytics, Facebook is a must for every business in 2020.
Facebook alone will give potential customers a one-stop place to get all the news you need about your business.
2. Share relevant and timely updates with your customers
Just the other night, I was planning on going out to the bar with my girlfriend, and I wanted to know if it was going to be open. (Thanks “Rona)
Anyways, the website didn’t provide any help for me, so I went to their Facebook page.
Unfortunately, their page didn’t have any information either. Luckily, they were indeed open.
The point is this: As a business owner or marketer, you should use your social media profiles as a place to post your relevant updates for your business.
Closures, openings, new products, or specials all can be easily broadcast right from your profile.
It’s incredibly useful for customers to have a reliable place to get all their information about your business.
3. It makes you money.
While every social media platform is different from the next, they all share one commonality:
They can make you money!
And the best part? You can do it for FREE!
Seriously. If you have a following on any platform, you can monetize that account!
If you have 1,000 followers, and you post about a $49 dinner special for your restaurant, and even 1% of those people buy from you…
You just generated almost $500 in additional revenue from a simple post!
That example holds true for all industries and businesses.
When you build up a following on social media, you have a great platform to promote your business and your specials for free!
