Impeckable Chicken: A Case Study
As a sponsor of The Washington State Food Truck Association, it's no secret that one of our specialties is Food Truck Marketing.
Regardless, one of the most common questions we get from food truck owners is "How effective are your efforts?"
It's a valid question! Many marketing companies claim they're experts when the results don't back it up.
In this post, we're going to put it all out there. Full transparency. We'll let you make the call on our quality.
Before we start:
These screenshots shown are part of a 37-page report we deliver to our clients any time they want to see their results.
These aren't manufactured numbers. These numbers are pulled directly from the different social media networks and combined by our social media scheduler of choice, Agorapulse.
What Food Truck Social Media Plan Are They On?
Impeckable Chicken is on our 3 posts per week plan, AKA our base package.
These 3 posts per week are going up on Facebook, Instagram, and their Google Business profile.
Each week, one post is dedicated to publishing their weekly schedule, and the other two to three (we like to over-deliver) posts are focused on their food and menu.
This social media plan includes a mix of both short form videos, story posts, and static image posts.
Food Truck Marketing Results Overview

Our marketing efforts began last August, so in total, we've been marketing for about 6 months.
As we've gone, we've been working to continually improve what we're doing.
When we see a certain type of post perform well, we ask ourselves "How can we do more of those?" or "What made that perform the way it did?"
After coming up with those answers, we adjust our strategy to incorporate more of what's working, and less of what isn't performing as well.
Marketing in general, but especially Food Truck marketing, is a constant game of learning. As we develop and test our marketing strategies, we will find what your audience and customers respond better to certain types of posts or content.
Once we have those marketing insights, we can adjust and improve our strategy for our food truck clients!
A Lasting Impression

Like any good marketing, our goal is to always get your content in front of as many people as possible!
To get as many eyes as possible on our Food Truck clients, we use a strategic mix of short form video as well as static image posts.
We've seen that typically our Reels grab the most attention from an audience that isn't following our clients, bringing in a good amount of new followers.
Once we have those new followers, we nurture them with consistent static image posts.
This mix of Reels and images, allow us to both attract new customers as well as nurture the existing customers, encouraging both new and repeat business.
We understand how important it is to have customers come back to your truck multiple times, so we always try to use content that will encourage that repeat business, rather than always trying to find new customers.
An Engaging Experience

While having a lot of impressions is wonderful, we always try to make sure that our food truck marketing clients are also building an engaged audience!
An engaged audience is a profitable audience!
Over the past 3 months, we've had nearly 3,500 interactions!
One type of post we've started using that drove meaningful interaction increases, was "Fan Friday" where we spotlight some of our customers who have tagged us in posts!
This makes our marketing feel more personal, along with making it a more exciting place for our customers to interact with us! We're building an engaged and loyal community one post at a time.
Not Shown Here
While we've been focusing on social media marketing, we've had a link in the bio of the Instagram profile of Impeckable Chicken.
In that link, there is a mailing list for people to sign up to be the first to know about exciting announcements, new specials, and special truck locations.
The account has just over 600 followers, and 175 of them have joined their mailing list, which will be ready to use when the time comes.
Having nearly 30% of the followers on Instagram being engaged enough to sign up for a mailing list, is incredible!
